Studio Portrait-Andie Tessler

For our second assignment, we had to take pictures of a classmate in the studio using multiple light sources. Andie and I got partnered together and we had a lot of fun doing it. She got the crazy busy me, while I got the subdued, relaxed her. She also got to be a part of a Renaissance Faire, which I am so jealous of! Here is her costume.

Did you know that Andie Tessler was a pirate for the Renaissance Faire six years ago? Andie was dragged "kicking and screaming" by a friend to a cast party in the off season of the faire and joined later. "I toured with a stage combat troupe called Canis Bellum for two seasons,' she said.

I think I like the way the red accents the picture and the expression on her face. I would not want to fight against her in a dark alley. =) Check out Andie's picture of me.

This is my lighting diagram.

First Assignment-Copy Stand and light

During the past two weeks, I learned a lot more about my camera and the concept of light as a whole. We learned how to "copy stand" an image that would lead us to "big money" one day.

These are my two images that I reproduced.

This is Canyonlands National Park in Utah. I liked the hot feeling it gave me, even though it made me long for boiling Texas summers.

This is Mauna Kea Volcano in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I picked this picture because it helped me relax.
