Metal and Glass

For the metal and glass assignment, my portion was the metal side. Check out Jonathan's picture of glass. We collaboratively brainstormed for several days, only to come out with "half-baked" ideas, before Jonathan had an epiphany moment early last Saturday afternoon. We drove around town to find an aluminum trashcan, and then ended up going to buy one at ACE Hardware.

The shoot itself ended up being a fun time.



Jonathan Hinderliter acts as Oscar the Grouch. Inspired by Hinderliter's personality, Oscar's trashcan was the perfect use of metal for this assignment. "Oscar was something that once I came up with, was something I could relate to. He kind of gets a bad rap for being a cranky guy. I know that I can give off the grouchy vibe. Not only was it a new character that was a representative metaphor for my personality, it was also an image that is immediately recognizable to people who know anything about American pop culture," Hinderliter said.
